馬偕醫院日前接獲一名91歲男性因為疝氣就診，意外發現腹部下方有一個10公分大的腹主動脈瘤，一旦破裂，死亡率可能高達9成。
醫療人員考慮患者年長，恐怕難以承受傳統開腹手術置換血管的治療，改以置入動脈支架，形同在膨大的血管前後架接一段海底隧道讓血流通過，防止強大血流繼續衝擊已經膨大的動脈瘤，也防止這個肚子裡的不定時炸彈爆炸。
鍾姓患者原本是因為疝氣求診，當時的主治醫師劉滄柏檢查時發現，患者的腹部下方有一個會「搏動」的硬塊，經安排電腦斷層檢查發現，竟然是一個10公分大的腹部動脈瘤。
馬偕醫院心臟外科主治醫師簡禎彥表示，腹主動脈瘤其實是血管像吹氣球一樣異常膨大，常見於60歲以上、男性，有抽菸、長期高血壓或肺部阻塞性疾病等患者身上。
由於7成腹主動脈瘤患者早期多半沒有症狀，患者常在健檢或因泌尿道、腸胃道等問題，接受腹部超音波檢查時才發現，部分病人則類似這位老先生，是在無意間發現腹部的搏動腫塊才緊急會診開刀治療。
雖然沒有症狀，但是腹主動脈瘤宛如腹腔內放著一顆不定時炸彈。一般來說，大於5公分的腹主動脈瘤便需手術處理，若大於7公分，5年內破裂機率高達8成。
簡禎彥表示，傳統腹主動脈瘤手術需在腹部劃上20公分傷口，再將主動脈膨大處切除後，縫上一段新的人工血管。至於腹主動脈支架則是在支架內有人工血管，等於是從血管內部將人工血管置入，再固定在動脈瘤前後的健康血管內，就像是海底隧道。手術時，只要經由兩側鼠蹊部約2公分傷口將支架置入。目前健保已給付。

秀傳紀念醫院急診部長黃炳文昨說，高溫環境細菌快速孳生，食物沒趕快放進冰箱或處理不乾淨，食用可能引發急性腸炎，近7天內腸炎病人是平常3倍，急診室常在1小時內擠滿腹痛、腹瀉腸炎患者。
有些患者腹部劇痛到院，以為吃壞肚子，因沒腹瀉症狀，醫師改用超音波、電腦斷層進一步檢查，原來是腎結石排不出來，「卡」在輸尿管，尿路不通順引起疼痛。
「腎結石患者都從事不能吹冷氣的工作。」他說，病人有的是建築工人、修車工、農夫、業務員，平日喝水不多，不知道腎臟有結石，連續曝露高溫環境大量流汗卻沒經常補充水分，導致尿液濃縮，小結石黏在一起排不出，又妨礙排尿，引發急性腎臟炎。
黃炳文建議民眾，每天至少喝水2000cc，每小時喝水200cc到300cc，在強烈陽光下曝曬，大量流汗時可多喝一些水，能保護皮膚不乾皺，又避免躲藏體內的腎結石作祟。

台北市大屯山位居台北市北投區與新北市淡水區、三芝區交界，為大屯火山群第三高峰，僅次於七星山及竹子山。早期文獻稱大遯山或大洞山，亦稱奇獨龜崙山，以其西麓有平埔凱達格蘭族的大洞社而得名。
本區開發較早，並發展出許多良好的登山路線，除了小西大屯線外，幾可按圖索驥，著名的「大屯春色」、「大屯雲海」與「觀音圈」，皆為登臨大屯山途中可見之美景。
登山交通：開車：自台北經士林仰德大道上陽明山、竹子湖，於七星山站左轉101甲縣道的巴拉卡公路，過大屯鞍部後於右側停車場停車上登。或續行至大屯山車道入口，左轉驅車直至山頂的觀景平台。
搭車╱搭乘260公車或捷運劍潭站轉紅5抵達陽明山公車總站，轉搭108遊園公車至大屯自然公園鞍部氣象站，至大屯鞍部上登。
