The socket G Intel® Core™ i7 or i5 processor and the Mobile Intel® QM57 Express Chipset with Intel® Active Management Technology 6.0 make the KINO-QM57A an ideal platform for high resolution digital signage, surveillance security monitoring, and public infotainment applications.

The IEI KINO-QM57A is a 32nm Intel® Core™i7/i5 processor platform and supports up to 8GB memory through two DDR3 SO-DIMMs. The Mobile Intel® QM57 Express Chipset allows playback and transmission of high quality video and includes Gigabit Ethernet capabilities. The on-board Intel® 82577LM GbE LAN controller also offers high-speed network transmission rates with Intel® AMT support. The KINO-QM57A has multiple display output interfaces including two HDMI ports, a VGA port and 18/24-bit dual-channel LVDS option. The integrated graphics engine supports up to 1080p HD video playback and two grouped video signals on two sets of displays, or the same signal broadcast over all three outputs.

The IEI KINO-QM57A is good for public surveillance security applications. The Intel® 82577LM GbE LAN controller supports Intel® Active Management Technology 6.0 and enables remote control and monitoring functions over the network.

The KINO-QM57A has a variety of I/O interfaces including a VGA port, a LVDS connector, two HDMI ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, one SPIDF pin header, four RS-232 serial ports, eight USB 2,0, six SATA 3GB/s connectors, three SATA power connectors powering two SATA drives each, an external 12 VDC power input and an internal 4-pin power connector. The KINO-QM57A also allows one PCIe Mini card expansion, and one PCIe x16 interface for graphics and I/O use.
